2. What is the point of having a URL indexed on Google?

Accepted Answer

An indexed URL allows you to appear and rank on various keywords on the Google search engine.
An internal study of several indexation audits after crawling revealed that on average 37% of URLs on a site with more than 100 pages are not indexed. These are therefore useless pages that cannot be found on Google.
To find out if your URLs are indexed or not, you can check FAQ 3 which explains the method.
Indexing pages allows you to rank on Google within hours with new pages, or with old pages that are not or no longer indexed.
The indexmenow.com tool also allows you to index backlinks, since an unindexed backlink has no value.

3. How do I know if a URL has been indexed or not?

Indexmenow.com has a feature that automatically checks indexations several times a day after a request for indexation to Google.
For this, we use the API of our service isindexed.com. It is the specialized service for indexation verification that performs several tests:

4. indexmenow.com detects my URL as indexed but when I test on my browser, the URL is not indexed. Why?

Accepted Answer

indexmenow.com provides proof by displaying the Snippet of META TITLE + DESCRIPTION tags of what Google displayed once your URL was detected as indexed.
However, during your checks, you may find that a URL is not indexed with the site: or inurl: command followed by your URL.
In this case, there can be two explanations:
• In most cases, your URL is not yet indexed on all Google datacenters. These variations can last 48h on average. You can check results on multiple datacenters at https://seo-hero.ninja.
• Otherwise, it is rather rare, but your URL has been de-indexed by Google. The reasons can be various but generally it is a lack of quality. To learn more about the causes of de-indexation, see FAQ 24.

No, indexation checks on indexmenow.com for your URLs are included in the indexation cost and you only pay if our system has detected your URL as being indexed.

Each URL not indexed after 10 days is automatically refunded to your available credits total on your indexmenow.com account.

7. Can IndexMeNow force the indexation of an already indexed page for an update?

Accepted Answer

Yes, this allows you to quickly update a URL and quickly see the display changes after modifying the META DESCRIPTION or TITLE tags.
You may also sometimes notice a temporary boost in rankings by adding already indexed URLs on indexmenow.com.
Updating a page can in some cases gain a few positions that remain lasting over time. Test it yourself as it varies depending on the type of site.

8. If I add a page that is already indexed on indexmenow.com, am I charged?

Yes, because the indexation check is performed after sending for indexation. Moreover, as explained in the previous point, some users add already indexed pages to get a quick update and refresh on Google.
If you want to index only non-indexed URLs, we recommend first checking the indexation with isindexed.com, the service specialized in indexation verification, before sending for indexation with indexmenow.com.
You can also test the indexation yourself using the site: or inurl: commands followed by your URL.

9. Is there a subscription or credit expiration date?

No, there is no subscription, you pay for what you consume and your credits never expire.
You only pay if the URL has been detected as indexed by our automatic verification system.

Yes, indexmenow.com has an API. This API allows you to use and develop applications using the features of the indexmenow.com service.
All actions you perform on the online tool can be created with the API.

11. How exactly do you index a URL?

IndexMeNow currently uses a combo of **3 indexation methods**.
Since late February, we conducted hundreds of tests over several days, testing and analyzing various indexation methods and different variants. With these results, we modified the indexation process to offer you the most effective solution compared to V1.
As you probably know, there **are dozens of methods to facilitate indexation**: Google Search Console, Google Bot redirection, Google URL Inspection, Google API in Google Cloud Platform, Google Slide, YouTube Description, Backlinks, Google Android applications, Chrome Favorites, visits via Google Chrome, Google Slides, Gmail Links, GoogleAds campaigns, Google Maps, Google my business, News, Android accessibility tools, Speech Services…
Thus, there are several indexation methods, but today, **using a single method is rarely effective for fast indexation**.
We have found that today, for successful indexation, **Google needs to be aware of the URL through multiple methods and often repeatedly before validating indexation**.
This is why, based on our various tests, **with the release of V2**, we apply a combo of **3 indexation methods that are used jointly for better results**.
These 3 methods are based on Google solutions and use no indexed backlinks and no traffic (except from Google).
**If you have already used indexation requests (and whose URLs were not indexed)** with for example:
• V1 of indexmenow (which were 100% refunded if not indexed)
• Google API in Google Cloud Platform
• Or other service / indexation method
We invite you to relaunch the non-indexed URLs in our new version. You will probably have good surprises with this new version.
And don't worry! **If your URLs are not indexed, they will be 100% refunded to your credits**.

12. Have you observed harmful or dangerous effects for SEO?

No, on the contrary, our solution is beneficial as it allows you to rank within 24h on new keywords and index stubborn pages!
Unlike other indexation solutions, we do not publish on social networks, spam public sites, forums, comments, guestbooks… Our indexation methodology is internal.
You will therefore find no trace of URLs added to indexmenow projects anywhere on the web. No trace on tools like Ahrefs, Semrush, Sistrix, MajesticSEO, Babbar… or any other tool. Rest assured.
Indexmenow simply allows you to request Google for an indexation or update of your URL using our specific methodology.
Moreover, if our system were harmful (which it is not), it would mean we could freely cause negative results on any site. This is therefore not possible.

13. Can a URL or site I added on indexmenow get penalized because of indexation?

Accepted Answer

We have never been aware of a penalty for forced indexation. You will not be penalized for indexing content with indexmenow as it is a normal process.
**But beware**: if you force mass indexation of poor quality content, we can imagine that one day Google may penalize you. However, this consequence would not be because of the indexmenow.com service, but because of your site and content as Google would have judged them to be of insufficient quality.

14. Do you recommend limits on the number of indexations per day?

We have no specific recommendations, however, for a new or recent site we recommend performing indexations in batches of a few hundred URLs rather than sending everything at once.

15. Do you have advice for indexing URLs that are backlinks?

Accepted Answer

For some non-indexed backlinks, we can imagine that Google judged them to be insufficiently qualitative or de-indexed them.
Sending for example several hundred low-quality backlinks for indexation could be seen as a backlink blast by Google.
We recommend sending for indexation only backlinks you consider to be quality or performing indexations progressively.

16. Do you have unlimited indexation power?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately no (that would be too good given the impressive statistics we achieve with new keyword gains or ranking improvements).
We have indexation limits as well as a cost for each URL sent for indexation in our various indexation and verification steps.
Generally, each indexation request is processed in time, however, a delay may occur depending on the queue volume.
In this case, you will be directly notified in your back-office of a potential processing delay.

17. We notice on Google Search Console an increase in impressions when we submitted URLs on indexmenow, is this normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it is normal. This is what happens when you force indexations and they get indexed. These URLs appear after indexation on various Google results.
This is a normal process that causes instant ranking on certain keywords, often amplified by a freshness bonus. This freshness bonus is generally temporary and you will return to a normal position based on your site's trust/content.

18. Why wasn't my URL indexed by indexmenow.com?

Accepted Answer

Even though indexmenow.com has one of the best success rates on the market, in rare cases it may fail to index a page.
Here are 2 reasons that may explain why your URL was not indexed:
1. Non-indexable page
• HTTP status code that is not 200 but for example 404, 500, 302, 301, 403…
• noindex attribute in a META tag, HTTP header or robots.txt file
• META canonical tag that differs from the URL you want to index

2. Google algorithmic refusal
• Low quality or insufficient content
• Duplicate, similar or spun content
• Competitive business-type keywords on a low-authority site (reviews, cheap, best…)
• Lack of media
• Outdated content
• Lack of overall domain authority…
These algorithmic reasons are difficult to determine exactly.
However, we have noticed that these algorithmic refusals can be corrected by simply modifying the META TITLE tag. Also, this changes the page's last modification date and Google favors indexation when the content is fresh.

19. Do you need access to a Google Search Console or a Google API Key?

Unlike other indexation methods, indexmenow.com does not need access to your Google Search Console or your API key.
You just need to add URLs (pages or backlinks) and indexmenow.com will take care of indexing these URLs.

24. My site is filtered by Google because when I search 'site:' I only see 4 indexed results. Does your service fix this?

Accepted Answer

No, this filter that some SEOs call "4 indexed pages" is a Google filter that generally applies to expired domains or PBN-type sites. The exact cause of this filter is still unclear but it generally affects PBNs (private blog networks).
Indexmenow.com cannot get you out of this filter. However, even if some pages can be indexed after using indexmenow.com, they end up getting de-indexed within hours or days on these Google-filtered sites.

25. Can you index automatically generated, spun, similar or duplicate content?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it works perfectly well, however it is at your own risk because if Google's algorithm detects it as SPAM or low quality content, you risk being penalized or filtered.
As you probably know, Google looks for quality content.

26. Can URLs be de-indexed after indexation?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it happens but it is rare. The reasons are generally that Google rejects the page content. This varies for each type of site.
The reasons can be multiple:
• Low quality or insufficient content
• Duplicate, similar or spun content
• Competitive business-type keywords on a low-authority site (reviews, cheap, best…)
• Lack of media, unique photos, video…
• Old content that is no longer current
• Lack of overall domain authority…
Tip: We have noticed that modifying the title tag to update your content prevents some URLs from being de-indexed.
Indeed, the fact that the content becomes "fresh and recently updated" allows Google to keep the page indexed even if it had de-indexed it in the past, thanks to its freshness.
However, keep in mind that this is a time-consuming method because there was already something Google didn't like about your page.
We therefore invite you to check the entire quality of your text or other pages on your site.

27. Are de-indexed URLs after indexation by indexmenow.com automatically refunded?

Accepted Answer

No, de-indexed URLs are not automatically refunded.
De-indexation is rare and only affects pages where Google judged the page content to be unacceptable due to a lack of quality.
De-indexation represents according to our internal statistics about 2% of indexed pages. To learn more about the reasons for de-indexation, see FAQ 26.
However, we have had cases where some users attempted indexation on filtered sites (4 indexed pages with site:) or sites penalized by Google. This systematically causes de-indexations.
In this case, you can contact support and we will manually refund the URLs you have found to be de-indexed.
